The Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Company has a wide variety of apparatus, from fire trucks, ambulances, fire police and specialty vehicles. Below you will see all of our apparatus, currently in service and retired apparatus. Each will have a small description of information about each vehicle.
Current Apparatus
Engine 5211
1994 Spartan/Marion Pumper
Custom Designed

Pump: Hale 1,500 GPM
Water: 1,150 gallons
Foam: 50 gallons
Crew: 6

Equipment: ladders, TNT Rescue tools, cribbing, hose couplings, 7.5KW generator, medical bag, various hand tools, F-500 Encapsulator.

This is our first due engine to all fires & some day time car accidents to extricate trapped patients.

2005 Pierce Dash Pumper
Formerly Fairfax County Virginia

Equipment: 150' Redline booster hose, portable pond, F500 Encapsulator, portable pump, leaf blower, rescue struts, gas TNT extrication motor, TNT cutter, TNT spreader, battery operated TNT combi cutter/spreader, battery operated saw-zall, battery operated glass cutter

2013 Rosenbauer Commander Pumper/Tanker
Custom Designed

Pump: Hale 1,500 GPM
Water: 3,000 gallons
Crew: 8

Equipment: ladders, hose couplings, portable pond, 10KW generator, various hand tools, blitz fire.

This is used for all major fires & will respond to numerous other municipalities through the Northampton County Tanker Task Force.

Brush/Quick Response Service 5241
2014 Ford F-550 Super Duty 4X4

Pump: Hale 500 GPM
Water: 300 gallons
Crew: 5

Equipment: portable pump, forestry rakes, brooms, shovels, portable water backpacks, AED, oxygen, medical bag, airways, Haz-Mat booms & pads, F-500 Encapsulator.

This truck is for brush fires in our township and surrounding areas. We also use this for EMS Assists, trees down & basement pumping's.

Rescue 5242
1985 Mack/Saulsbury Heavy Rescue

Crew: 10

Equipment: TNT Rescue tools for vehicle extrication, cribbing, fire extinguishers, rough terrain, rope & high angle rescue, water rescue, medical bags, tool box, rescue struts, air bags for rescue/lifting, PTO & diesel generator, breathing air cascade system

This rescue is 1st due for all motor vehicle accidents and many other types of rescues. It has a cascade breathing air system to refill firefighter air bottles.

Fire Chief/QRS 5244
 Dodge Durango

Crew: 5

Equipment: fire extinguishers, medical bag, oxygen bag, road flares

The fire chief will take this to an emergency call or to check out a burn or other non-emergency event. It is also able to be used as a QRS (Quick Response Service) to provide medical care before an ambulance can arrive. It can also haul the John Deere Gator, Polaris Ranger and trailer.

Equipment: Forestry rakes, 400 feet Redline hose, Scotty Foam Eductor, shovels, chainsaw, leaf blower, F-500 Encapsulator, forestry hose & various adapters.

This truck will be used for brush and wildfires within the township & surrounding communities or where the PA Forestry Service needs it. It will also be used for flood rescues & stranded motorists on the highway in significant snowstorms. The truck is part of the DCNR Federal Excess Property Program.

Equipment: 100 feet booster reel, Foam Flurry Proportioner, rakes, shovels, chainsaw

This truck will be used for brush and wildfires within the township & surrounding communities or where the PA Forestry Service needs it. The truck is part of the DCNR Federal Excess Property Program.

2017 Polaris Ranger 6x6
Terrator Custom Skid Unit

Pump: Davey 5.5HP 65 GPM
Water: 100 Gallons
Foam: 3 Gallons

Equipment: Chainsaw, rakes, shovels, Scotty Foam System, forestry hose, medical equipment, hand tools.

This UTV was purchased with grant funds from the Gary Sinise Foundation & ESSA Bank & Trust Foundation. It will be used for wildfires, search & rescue, and removing patients from the Appalachian Trail & Jacobsburg State Park. It will also be used for fire protection at public events within our township & surrounding communities.

Fire Police Vehicle 5247

Equipment: traffic cones, road flares, traffic wands

This vehicle is used to shut down roads & direct traffic around emergency scenes or roads closed due to storm damage.

Equipment: Road flares, traffic cones & barriers, traffic wands, highway traffic signs, rehab mister machines and fold-up table

This vehicle is used to shut down roads & direct traffic around emergency scenes or roads closed due to storm damage. It also has the capabilities to setup up firefighter rehab at fire scenes.

EMS 52 QRV -1
 2002 Dodge Durango

Crew: 5

Equipment:  medical bag, oxygen bag

The main function of this is to be used as a QRS (Quick Response Service) to provide medical care before an ambulance can arrive. It can also haul the John Deere Gator & trailer.

Equipment: Medical Bag, oxygen, stokes basket, splints

The Gator is used to extract people from the Jacobsburg State Park, Appalachian Trail or any other trail or rough terrain in the township. It also is used for search and rescues as well as transporting supplies on large fire scenes.

Pump: Waterous 1,000 GPM
Water: 1,000 gallons
Crew: 5

Equipment: Redline booster reel hose, 2 portable pumps, portable pond, forestry hand tools, F-500 Encapsulator, leaf blower, unmanned deluge gun.

This engine is 2nd due for brush fires & used as a source pumper. It is also used as a fill site engine.

Fire Police Vehicle 52
Ford Crown Victoria

Equipment: traffic cones, road flares, traffic wands

The main purpose of this vehicle is to close down roads and detour traffic.
